FIRE RESISTANT STAY ROD COVERING/SCREW COUPLING COVERING

Code:
KM-CTI/A-B
KM-CTE/A-B
The KM-CTI/AB tie rod cover is a fire protection cup of structural elements, consisting of a pre-shaped insert made of mineral fibre contained in an open galvanised steel shell, closed with 4 self-tapping screws.

The KM-CTE/AB tensioner cover is a fire protection cup for structural tie rod tensioners, consisting of 4 layers, each with an outer casing made of non-combustible fiber fabric, alternating elements of 1 mm ceramic paper, eco-friendly biosoluble fiber felt dens. 128 kg/³, 1 mm ceramic paper; all contained in a shell of galvanized sheet metal sp. 5/10, closed with 3 self-tapping screws.

FORMAT
KM-CTI/AB puller cover, length 1000 mm; D. 100 mm/160 mm, d. 38 mm
KM-CTE/AB tensioner cover, length 400 mm; D. 150 mm/210 mm

EMPLOYMENT FIELDS
The KM-CTI/AB tie rod cover and the KM-CTE/AB tensioner cover are used for fire protection of tie rods and their tensioners, the ones designed to reinforce building walls in optics
structural

MODALITY OF USE
The KM-CTI/AB tie rod cover is open longitudinally to be inserted over the tie rod to be protected. Mounted above the tie rod it will be closed with self-tapping screws along its longitudinal development. The next tie rod cover will be mounted by overlapping the shell with the shell of the previous tie rod cover by approximately 50 mm, so as to have an overlap of the various tie rod cover joints.
Once the protection of the two trunks of structural tie rod has been completed, the tensioner will be protected with the tensioner cover, open longitudinally, fixing it with the self-tapping screws. The two ends of the tensioner cover will be closed with an open presagomated element fixed to the shell with the closure of the two fins and with 2 self-tapping screws
